Guava Salsa

Ingredients

  • Ripe guava (finely chopped, seeds removed if hard): 1 cup
  • Tomato (finely chopped): ½ cup
  • Onion (finely chopped): ¼ cup
  • Green chili (finely chopped, adjust to taste): 1
  • Coriander leaves (chopped): 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper powder: ¼ teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder: ½ teaspoon

Preparation

Wash and finely chop the guava, tomato, onion, and green chili.

Remove seeds from guava if they are too hard.

In a bowl, combine guava, tomato, onion, and green chili.

Add coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and roasted cumin powder.

Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to blend flavors.

Serve fresh as a dip, topping for tacos, or with nachos.

Notes

  1. Add diced avocado for creaminess or pomegranate seeds for a sweet twist.
  2. Tastes great with grilled paneer, wraps, or as a side with Mexican dishes.
  3. Guava is rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants, making this salsa nutritious and refreshing.
